Vitamin K

Vitamin K is made from bacteria in the gut, plays a role inblood clotting and is one of a group of vitamins and minerals which support normal bone structure. Deficiency of this vitamin is very rare in adults, although it has been identified in newborn babies. To combat this, all babies born in New Zealand are injected with Vitamin K at birth. Leafy green vegetables and milk are both good sources of Vitamin K.
