Icing reformulated to meet health and wellness demands
Bakeryandsnacks.com (17/07/08) reports that a new icing from BakeMark, is free from preservatives and available in a range of colours. The new Crembel icing can be used on their own or in combination and can be piped into rosettes or used to create traditional melted coatings. They have a glossy finish and smotth texture when melted but do not contain any hydrogneated fats. The new icing was developed to match consumer and industry demand for alternatives to artificial colourings. The icing is developed from natural plant (fruit and vegetable) extracts and are produced in accordance with UK FSA code of practice. The products last for six months unoped when stored in cool, dry conditions.
