Packaging infuses product with aromas

FoodproductiondailyUSA.com (25/07/2006) reports on a plastic packaging that can infuse aromas into food and drink products without changing its composition. The Encapsulated Aroma Release technology, developed by ScentSational Technology, has been in development for five years. The technology aids aroma to a product via the packaging rather than using additives or simply having a scent infused in the packaging.The technology will have health benefits as the infused aromas can reduce the amount of fat or sugar that is added to the product as it alters consumers perceptions to the product.The first viable consumer packaging application will be sold under the product Aroma Water.
