Beating Diabetes

Eating wholegrain and high-fibre grain-based foods and legumes is now firmly believed to be beneficial in the prevention, treatment and control of diabetes. People who eat two to three serves of wholegrain foods a day are 20-30% less likely to develop type 2 diabetes than those who don?t eat any wholegrain foods, according to a recent literature reviews compiled by Australian and New Zealand researchers. Wholegrain foods are also associated with reduced risk of heart disease.
