The Food Show Christchurch
The Food Show Christchurch kicked off the 2010 Food Show calendar with huge success. With almost 10,000 visitors across the weekend of 26 – 28 March, Christchurch consumers were lavished with a unique mix of artisan and boutique food products and international delights.
Of the 100 exhibitors that featured at the show, an array of local and international produce was on offer, with Aoraki Smokehouse Salmon, The Village Press olive oils and New Zealand Pork leading the way.
The Electrolux Cooking Theatre, which offers visitors the chance to get up close and personal with a stellar line-up of celebrity chefs, was a highlight at the Christchurch show, with local foodie Richard Till wowing the crowds with his entertaining demonstration.
The Food Show also provides a fantastic platform for new products to be launched with the likes of Hot Irishmen coffee and Vogels Super Berry Cafe-Style muesli being a talking point of the weekend.
As well as delicious food and dynamic demonstrations, award-winning wines and an array of exciting beverages from across New Zealand and around the world were also out on show, with tastings and face-to-face education opportunities available with many of the producers.
